The Opportunity
As a Financial Summer Staff, you will be a skilled, detail-oriented and collaborative team player responsible for managing financial transactions and maintaining accurate records for our company’s accounts payable and accounts receivable.

This is an 8 week contract position, with opportunities for flexible shifts, including early mornings, days, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities
Enter invoices in accounting system for payments ensuring correct approval, coding and matching of PO’s.
Provide efficient and effective data entry, clerical, and administrative work relating to the registration and accounting systems in accordance with the approved standards and guidelines.
Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and communicate with vendors regarding payment related matters.
Ability to work directly with subsidy providers and social development to confirm funding for participants.
Supporting updates for the registration software for child care, after school and camp.
Maintain and update summer camp waitlists.
Understand and integrate the value of philanthropy and volunteerism.
Self manage personal professional development and work that needs to be completed.
Skills and Qualifications
Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communications skills, and previous experience working with senior management
Be flexible and adaptable, understand the overall goals of the team and actively seek to help achieve them.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work items with minimum direction.
Strong time management, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
Clearance from the Department of Social Development (New Brunswick), if applicable.
