Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
• Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Monitor the company's financial health and provide regular reports to senior management.
Bookkeeping and Record-keeping:
• Manage day-to-day accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records using Zoho accounting software.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Collaborate with management to create and monitor budgets and financial forecasts.
• Analyze variances between budgeted and actual financial performance and recommend corrective actions.
Vendor and Supplier Management:
• Manage vendor relationships, including payment processing and negotiation of payment terms.
• Ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers while optimizing cash flow.
Financial Reporting:
• Generate regular financial reports for management and stakeholders.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Audit and Compliance:
• Assist in financial audits and coordinate with external auditors as needed.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Process Improvement:
• Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial processes.
• Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CA (Chartered Accountant) or equivalent certification is a plus.
• Proven experience in accounting and finance roles, preferably in e-commerce or startups.
• Proficiency in Zoho accounting software or similar accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
