The Role:
Kido with above 25 Nurseries across 3 countries (India, US and the UK) and almost 400 employees is about to embark on a journey of growth.
We are looking for a strong Finance Executive, based in India (either Mumbai or Bangalore working with the teams based there) who will be responsible for book-keeping, managing and maintaining accounts for our international operations in the UK, financial reporting on the schools, ensuring correct invoicing and follow ups on collections and adhering to the Finance Policies for the jurisdiction. This person will work with the team based in the UK to fulfil their responsibilities.
This role will report to the Head-Finance. They will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company in the UK,
Description
1. Posting of necessary entries and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
with regard to Day to day Accounting Activities
2. Verify the invoices to ensure that all the details are relevant to the expense and ledger
3. Manage Bank Reconciliations of Nursery wise and Corporate Bank accounts on a daily basis and
provide necessary explanations with regard to unreconciled line items and make necessary enquiries
regarding any discrepancies or further clarifications.
4. Prepare necessary reconciliations, aging reports and reports with regard to Fees received and
receivables
5. Prepare necessary reconciliations, aging and reports with regard to accounts payable
6. Verify the receipts uploaded for the Pleo transactions. Ensure that all the expenses are within the
relevant guidelines and has been approved as per the relevant approval matrix
7. Verify the receipts and invoices of reimbursements of the expensesof the employees
8. Verify and process the salary of the employees under the UK payroll processing process. Pass relevant
journal entries along with posting to the relevant cost centers.
+. Assist in the process closing of the Profit and Loss Account for every month.
10. Assist in the reconciliation process of the Balance Sheet on a monthly basis.
11. Assist in the Audit completion process of the entity
12. Provide necessary explanation to the management and the auditors with regard to the transactions
13. Respond to the emails of different team members which is received in the UK common email.
14. Deliver the reports as required by the Finance Manager and other members of the higher
management team.
15. Process and upload payments to vendors, employees, student refunds in the bank portal.
16. Ensure intercompany entries are posted correctly and verify with the relevant team regarding the
accuracy of the balances on a regular basis.
Requirements
1. Education:
i) Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce
ii) MBA-Finance
iii) Computer skills – MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
2. Experience:
i) Min 2 years experience as a Finance Executive
