Fueling Brains and FB Academies are in the space of early childhood education operating through multiple business models and structures across North America.
We are currently seeking a Finance Manager who will be reporting to the Finance Controller and supporting the Finance and accounting teams.
The incumbent will be required to administer accounting operations to meet legal requirements and should be familiar with audits, invoices and budget preparations.
The ideal candidate demonstrates interest in managing accounting activities, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Essential Duties and responsibilities
Assisting the Financial Controller in the amalgamation of Fueling Brains Academy as a unified books of accounts using QuickBooks and generating unified reporting.
Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to higher management while recommending further courses of action.
Maintain the financial health of the organization.
Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions and the company's actual performance compared to the business plans.
Develop trends and projections for the firm's finances.
Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.
Manage the preparation of the company's budget.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.
Assist in budget preparation and management activities.
Identify and resolve invoicing issues, accounting discrepancies and other financial related issues.
Provide full support to the finance team in annual external audits and financial reviews.
Qualifications / Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business administration.
Professional qualification as CA/ICMA/ACCA is considered a plus.
4-5 years of experience in accounting and payroll processing is required.
Proficiency in payroll and timekeeping systems in particular Pay web, Advance Tracker and QuickBooks and Time Saver.
Solid knowledge of financial and accounting standards and procedures.
Expert knowledge of MS Office Suite - Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel (pivot tables, macros) and Google Suite

Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
Strong and accurate data input, excellent accounting and book-keeping skills.
Detail oriented and self-motivated with a commitment to working in a team environment as well as independently to meet deadlines and company objectives.
Ability to work in a high stress environment.
Excellent organizational skills and be able to handle time-sensitive tasks.

Thrive in an intense, do-it-yourself, start-up environment.
Ability to work well within a cross-functional team environment and diverse stakeholder communities.
Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone or teleconference in a clearly lit, noise-free environment with strong wireless internet connectivity.
The candidate will be working from home and the working hours will with a +:00 AM (IST) and a 5:00-6:00 PM (IST), however the applicant must be flexible at time's to be available during the Canada and US hours.
