The primary role of the Accounting Team Lead is to assist the Supervisor in directing reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of reported store transactions. This involves working closely with the team to elevate reconciliation issues and engage with relevant business partners for prompt resolution.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coaching and training team members on lottery rules and internal processes to ensure accurate reconciliation.
• Reviewing large reconciliation variances with team members to ensure support from third-party auditors has been obtained.
• Notifying stores of large variances/adjustments before charges are applied, ensuring clear communication without accounting jargon.
• Ensuring timely and accurate response by team members to Service Now cases, communicating effectively with stores.
• Navigating Trintech's ReconNET application efficiently for reconciliation and query purposes.
• Engaging daily with US counterparts, updating them on backlog status, issues with source files, large variances, and matters discussed with field managers.
• Maintaining strong SOX controls within the team.
• Overseeing overall transaction reconciliations and audits within SLA timelines prior to month-end close.
• Monitoring ownership changes of stores and making necessary adjustments.
• Gaining a thorough understanding of lottery transactions processed through POS systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong ability to follow established business processes and identify problem areas.
• Proficient user of MS Excel, including pivot tables and lookups.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and communicate effectively to the team.
