Annual salary: $ 109,700.00 - 138,700.00
What you'll do
The successful candidate will:
Provide the monthly and quarterly financial reporting for BC Hydro’s revenue, by compiling reports comparing actual
results to plan, preparing variance analysis and commentary and presenting results to management.
Work with external auditors and provide support, analysis, etc. for the quarterly reviews and year-end audits.
Lead a team of two financial analysts responsible for customer revenue reporting, planning, and forecasting, including
managing their performance and development.
Coordinate and develop the revenue forecast updates that form part of BC Hydro’s corporate financial forecasts,
presented to the Board of Directors and used as the basis for Revenue Requirement Applications (RRA) and annual
Service Plans.
Support regulatory proceedings related to revenue, including Revenue Requirement Applications or Rate Design
Applications, and related Information Requests.
Act as a key finance liaison to internal partners including Billing, Customer Service, Key Account Managers, Load
Forecasting, and Regulatory, providing financial insight and support for revenue-related initiatives.
Prepare ad hoc financial analyses, reports, and executive-level presentations related to customer revenue to support
management decision-making.
What you bring
Professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent).
Minimum of nine (9) years’ experience in a progressively more responsible financial management capacity with specific
experience in reporting and forecasting.
Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving skills.
Excellent planning skills with proven experience in meeting deadlines while managing multiple priorities and competing
demands.
In-depth knowledge of accounting practices and principles and effective internal control concepts and their effective
application.
Strong knowledge and understanding of the operations and business decision processes of a large, complex organization.
An inquisitive nature that drives thorough investigation of variances and an ability to make complex financial data
understandable in a relatable way.
Experience in proactively identifying and implementing change and business improvement initiatives.
Ability to think and act with a strong business sense.
Ability to lead meetings and present to various levels of management.
Advanced Excel skills.
Detailed knowledge of SAP and Power BI is an asset.

What else you should know
This is a full-time permanent (FTR) P3 opportunity, based in our Dunsmuir office in Vancouver, BC.
Please note a condition of employment in this role is to maintain your drivers license in good standing.

Some travel may be required around the Lower Mainland to attend meetings. Occasional travel may be required to
regional offices throughout the province to attend meetings.
