ONCALL SACARE is currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Accountant to join our finance team in Adelaide. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, timely month-end close, and compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Prepare and post general ledger journals including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
Support preparation of financial and management reports in accordance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS)
Assist with internal and external audit requirements, including providing audit documentation
Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory obligations (e.g., GST, BAS, FBT)
Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
Support continuous improvement of financial processes, controls, and reporting systems
Collaborate with other teams to ensure accurate cost allocations and reporting
You will bring:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent professional designation)
Experience in a similar financial accounting role
Strong understanding of accounting standards and principles
Advanced Excel skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
