Join Our Team as a Financial Accountant at AXA Partners UK & Ireland: Are you a qualified accountant who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about making a difference? We are seeking a dedicated Financial Accountant to join our Finance team at AXA Partners UK & Ireland. Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the balance sheet reconciliation process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide guidance and training on best practices for balance sheet reconciliation
• Support internal and external audits, addressing findings related to balance sheet accounts across the 5 UK managed entities
• Assist in preparing annual statutory accounts and statutory reporting for multiple entities
• Manage tax matters including VAT, indirect tax controls, and ad hoc tax queries for the UK and Ireland activities
• Promote and manage change within the finance function, identifying weaknesses in processes and controls and implementing solutions
• Perform monthly permanent control checks for Group and ad-hoc internal control checks as necessary
Your Profile
• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Previous experience in balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger accounting
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
• A collaborative team player with a positive attitude
