The Financial Accountant role sits within our vibrant finance team in the beautiful beach-side mid-North coast town of Woolgoolga. The Financial Accountant will contribute to the pro-active and commercially focused finance activities of our large and complex business unit. This role will focus on our sales and inventory management across our business. While the focus is on sales and inventory you will still have the opportunity for exposure across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities - Financial Accountant:
Data Management and Analysis:
Prepare management reports tracking financial performance against budget/forecasts, along with variance and trend analysis including development and implementation of dashboard reporting
Insights and Reporting:
Contribute to the preparation of various data and analytics reports on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis, to support business decision making.
Prepare financial year end reports for external accountants (and or auditors), providing supporting information and managing delivery within reporting timeframes.
Information and Business Advice:
Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on processes and policies.
Assist with the annual budgeting process and audit requirements.
Financial Policies, Guidelines, and Protocols:
Contribute to the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines, and protocols to ensure the company complies with regulations and good financial practice.
Operational Compliance:
Contribute to the ongoing compliance of the team to financial requirements.
Internal Relationship Management:
Develop a business partnering relationship with internal regional managers, providing them with relevant financial information and supporting them in financial decisions making.
About you
Experience in a finance role within a commercial organisation is important for this role. In addition, the successful candidate will have;
CPA certification or working towards.
Proven self-initiative and problem-solving skills.
Strong work ethic, can-do attitude, and willingness to get involved.
Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively within a team.
High level of confidentiality.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Previous exposure to SAP or similar ERP systems, and experience within FMCG and/or agriculture sectors will be highly regarded.
