Christ the King Catholic School seeks a mission-driven, dynamic, and joyful full-time First Grade Teacher to join our faculty for the 2026 2027 school year.
Christ the King Catholic School is an Early Childhood 8th grade Catholic school in North Seattle, with our Early Childhood Education program beginning at 30 months. Since 1939, CKS has been a welcoming, diverse, and faith-filled community committed to academic excellence, whole-child formation, and strong family partnership. Responsibilities
Promote and model Catholic identity in all aspects of school life
Create a joyful, structured, and engaging learning environment
Develop and deliver instruction aligned with Washington State standards and Archdiocese of Seattle curriculum guidelines
Use assessment data to inform instruction and differentiate to meet the needs of diverse learners
Build positive, proactive communication with families
Support students' social-emotional and spiritual development
Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to school community life
Integrate technology meaningfully into instruction
Maintain professionalism, organization, and positive conflict-resolution skills
Monitor student progress and adjust instruction to support growth
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Washington State Teaching Certificate (or ability to obtain)
Catechetical certification (or working toward certification)
Elementary teaching experience preferred, especially primary grades
Practicing Catholic preferred
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Enthusiasm for working with young learners
Growth mindset and reflective practice
Salary
Depending on experience and qualifications, ranges from prorated annual full-time salary range of $62,000 $82,000. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
