Job Description
We operate a number of fishing vessels and are looking for experienced fishing deckhands.
Trip duration up to 5 days. Home port is Lyttelton.
Duties will include:
Operation of Fishing Gear, Handling, Sorting, Gutting, Storing and unloading catch. Watchkeeping duties. Cooking duties by roster, cleaning duties. Some shore based work is expected between trips. Wire splicing, net mending skills and holding an ADH-F are desirable.
Minimum safety training and awareness of on board safety systems is essential.
You need 12 months experience in a similar role and to pass a pre-employment drug test. We randomly drug test and run a no drugs, no ******* policy.
Remuneration for the role is based on qualifications and experience. Estimated rate of at least $29.50 an hour.
