EXPERIENCED UKS2 TEACHING ASSISTANT REQUIRED ASAP– FIXED TERM TILL NOVEMBER, 2026
SCALE 3 – 22 ½ Hours per week (+.00 a.m – 3.00 p.m) – Term Time Only
Downderry are looking for an experienced highly motivated, resilient and enthusiastic teaching assistant to support teachers and students to achieve within the teaching and learning environment. They should have a strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining high standards with the ability to motivate to ensure learning is always the main focus in school, whilst being a positive role model.

• Happy, positive, lively children who want to achieve
• A dedicated, highly motivated, talented, hardworking staff
• Committed and supportive governors and parents
• A school ethos where every child matters
We are looking for someone who will:
• Be a good team player
• Be committed, enthusiastic and responsive
• Be motivated and able to work on own initiative
• Prove to have a good level of written, numeracy and oral skills
• Be patient and caring
Downderry is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. The post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure Barring clearance, medical clearance and satisfactory references.
If you have lived or worked overseas for three months or more as an adult (Over 18) you must provide the relevant overseas check
Original evidence of right to work within the United Kingdom will be required prior to commencement of employment
