Responsibilities
• Delivering lessons across a variety of subjects to students in the absence of their regular classroom teacher
• Adapting teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse learning needs of students, including those with SEN
• Maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel supported and valued
• Collaborating with school staff to ensure continuity of learning and a smooth transition for students when their regular teacher is absent
Qualifications
• Experience working with children with SEN
• Experience supporting students in primary and/or secondary school settings
• Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices
• Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and teaching assignments
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
Day-to-day
• Covering for absent teachers and delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
• Providing support to students with SEN and ensuring their individual needs are met
• Collaborating with school staff to ensure a smooth transition for students when their regular teacher is absent
