Job Overview: The Mobile App Product Manager at FluentPet will own development and improvement of the FluentPet mobile app. This individual will be responsible for driving the engineering team, setting product priorities and deadlines, and deeply understanding user needs to ensure our apps exceed expectations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UX development and mobile app product management, coupled with a love of dogs, cats, and other animals and a passion for developing a better understanding of interspecies communication for improving pet-human communication.
Key Responsibilities:
• Driving Engineering Teams:
• Set product priorities and deadlines to ensure timely delivery of features and updates.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between engineering, design, and other relevant teams.
• UX Development:
• Lead UX development efforts to create intuitive, user-friendly app experiences.
• Work closely with designers to ensure the app meets high standards of usability and aesthetics.
• Product Strategy and Management:
• Develop and execute product strategies that align with the company's overall vision.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats.
• Define product requirements and create detailed product specifications.
• Monitor product performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to optimize results.
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality mobile apps that meet user expectations and industry standards.
• Product Lifecycle Management:
• Oversee the product lifecycle of mobile app development from concept through launch and beyond.
• Identify opportunities for new features and improvements based on market research, customer feedback, and technological advancements.
• Understanding User Needs:
• Engage with customers to gather feedback and understand their needs deeply.
• Advocate for customer perspectives in product decisions and ensure the app addresses their pain points.
• Performance Analysis:
• Monitor and analyze product performance metrics.
• Use data to make informed decisions and adjustments to product strategies.
• Risk Management:
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• 4+ years of mobile app product management experience, preferably in the consumer electronics or pet technology sectors.
• Strong background in UX development and user-centered design principles.
• Proven ability to drive engineering teams, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret data and market trends.
• Passionate about pets and improving pet-human communication.
• Proficiency in product management software and tools.
