Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Supervision
Oversee the daily activities of the food and beverage team
Train, mentor, and schedule staff to ensure smooth operations
Monitor employee performance and provide ongoing feedback
Operational Management
Ensure efficient daily operations of the bistro, from service timing to guest flow
Coordinate with kitchen staff and other departments to optimize service delivery
Handle any operational issues that arise during shifts
Guest Service Excellence
Deliver a high level of customer service, addressing guest inquiries and resolving complaints promptly
Ensure that the overall dining experience aligns with the high standards expected from the Courtyard by Marriott brand and Commonwealth Hotels
Create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business
Inventory and Cost Control
Monitor inventory levels and manage supply orders to avoid shortages or excess
Assist in budgeting efforts and control costs by minimizing waste and optimizing resource use
Review sales data and performance metrics to adjust strategies as needed
Health, Safety, and Sanitation Compliance
Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
Ensure that all staff follow proper food handling and cleaning procedures
Maintain a clean and safe environment for both guests and employees
Collaboration and Communication
Work closely with management to implement promotional strategies and resolve any operational challenges
Communicate effectively with the entire team to ensure everyone is aligned with daily goals and standards
Provide feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement of services
