Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and attentive Food Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this role, you will be the face of our restaurant, delivering exceptional guest experiences through friendly service, accurate order taking, and efficient food delivery. Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of menu items to enhance their dining experience
Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted and communicated effectively to the kitchen
Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction
Manage table settings, clear used dishes, and assist with bussing to maintain a clean and inviting dining area
Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems like OpenTable or cash handling procedures, including basic math calculations for bills and tips
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and food handling guidelines to ensure guest safety and compliance with health regulations
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation times and ensure timely service in a fast-paced environment
Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons
Experience
Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous; experience with OpenTable is a plus
Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
Ability to manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management and organization skills
Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
Experience in upselling techniques to enhance sales while maintaining guest satisfaction
Host/host experience or serving background that demonstrates excellent communication skills is beneficial
Basic math skills for cashiering, bill splitting, and cash handling tasks
