About the Role
A Food Service Associate is responsible for preparing and serving food/beverages, maintaining cleanliness, assisting customers, and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role suits someone who is energetic, customer-focused, and service-oriented.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Service
• Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately.
• Provide menu recommendations and handle customer questions.
• Maintain a positive attitude throughout service.
• Handle customer concerns or escalate to Supervisor/Manager.
2. Food & Beverage Preparation
• Prepare chai, coffee, and other beverages as per standard recipes.
• Assist in preparing snacks, plating, and packaging for takeaway.
• Maintain hygiene, quality, and consistency in all food preparation.
3. Store Operations
• Keep the service counter, kitchen, and seating area clean and organized.
• Follow safety, hygiene, and FSSAI guidelines.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
4. Billing & Cash Handling
• Operate POS/billing systems accurately.
• Handle cash, UPI, and card payments responsibly.
• Maintain daily sales records.
5. Team Support
• Coordinate with team members for smooth workflow.
• Assist with inventory management, restocking, and housekeeping tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Minimum qualification: 10th/12th pass.
• Good communication skills in English/Hindi/Bengali (as required).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic understanding of food handling & hygiene.
• Experience in QSR/café/food stall is an advantage but not mandatory.
