Job Summary
The Food Service Worker II at the Callier Child Development Center plays a vital role in supporting daily kitchen operations by assisting with food preparation, maintaining accurate records, and upholding high standards of quality and safety. Minimum Education and Experience
Experience following basic work instructions. Two years food service experience.

One to five years of experience in child-focused or institutional food service.
Certification in ServSafe® or equivalent food safety and sanitation training.
Experience with cash handling, point‑of‑sale systems, or basic computer terminals preferred.

To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.

Assist with food preparation, meal assembly, serving, and assigned cleaning responsibilities.
Follow the allergy log to ensure all special diets and dietary instructions are accurately implemented.
Apply safety and sanitation standards to promote proper food handling and reduce workplace accidents.
Maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate consistent cleanliness in all work habits.
Follow written and verbal instructions for food preparation, and handle leftovers according to proper storage or disposal procedures.
Keep all kitchen and storage areas organized, safe, sanitary, and visually appealing.
