Job Description
• Kitchen Helper / Dietary Aide - Collaborate with the Cook for meal preparation and service; ensure food placement on plates/trays aligns with tray tickets and with our established policies and procedures. Endeavour to provide top-notch food service at all times. Duties also include food and tray preparations and delivery, dishwashing and maintaining the kitchen's hygiene as per health standards.
• Safety - Use protective gear, adhere to safety precautions while mixing and utilizing cleaning solutions. Report issues regarding equipment/cleaning product to the supervisor promptly. Ensure compliance with safety, established standards, and quality guidelines. - Abide by infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures in order to maintain a clean environment. Follow suitable reporting, isolation, and handwashing procedures/techniques.
• Punctuality - Regular and timely attendance is expected. Complete assigned cleaning tasks within the stipulated schedule. Heed to the paging system promptly and appropriately.
• Customer Experience - Represent HCSG positively by following instructions, and maintaining courteous and cooperative relationships with supervisor, co-workers, and client staff.
• Resident Experience - Maintain hospitable and respectful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.
Requirements
• Exhibiting a positive attitude, aptitude to follow oral and written instructions, and perform everyday repetitive tasks.
• Post-adequate training, demonstrate leadership skills to execute all responsibilities independently and safely without causing harm to oneself or others.
• A high school diploma or its equivalent is preferred. Specialized training in food service is an advantage. Completion of an approved sanitation and safety course may be required.
• ServSafe: Hold a current ServSafe certification as mandated by State / County law.
• Food Handler’s card is necessary.
• Consistent attendance and being punctual is expected.
• Conformity with COVID-1+ Vaccination Policies, as required by State, Local, and/or Customers.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 30 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to perform routine, continuous tasks.
• Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
