Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to efficiently manage inventory and support warehouse distribution operations. This role requires mechanical knowledge, attention to safety, and the ability to perform heavy lifting tasks. The Forklift Operator plays a vital role in maintaining smooth warehouse functions and ensuring timely order fulfillment.
Responsibilities
Safely operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to move products within the warehouse
Load and unload goods from trucks, storage areas, and production lines
Assist with order picking and inventory management using Warehouse Management System (WMS) software
Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues
Perform heavy lifting as required to handle pallets, boxes, or other materials
Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and stock levels
Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
Support warehouse organization by arranging products in designated areas
Skills
Proven experience with forklift operation, including clamp trucks and order pickers
Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor equipment issues
Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes and warehouse management systems (WMS)
Strong understanding of order picking procedures in a warehouse setting
Basic math skills for inventory counting and measurement tasks
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Excellent attention to detail and safety awareness
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
