Position: FORMWORK CARPENTERS
Name of the Business: Ashbridge Construction PTY LTD
Salary: $78,000 - $88,000 p/year plus superannuation
Type: Permanent Full Time
Ashbridge Construction Pty Ltd is a Western Australian based construction company working mainly in large and civil field.
The company is now seeking at least 2 full-time formwork carpenters who has at least:
Australian Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent with a minimum of 12 months of full-time experience; or
3 years of full-time experience in lieu of the relevant qualification
Position Summary
The ideal candidates will be responsible for constructing, assembling and installing temporary and permanent formwork structures used in concrete construction. The role involves interpreting construction drawings, preparing materials, and ensuring structural accuracy to support safe and efficient building operations.
Key duties:
Interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications to determine formwork requirements, dimensions and materials.
Measure, cut and assemble timber, plywood and other materials to construct formwork for concrete structures.
Erect and install formwork systems for foundations, columns, beams, slabs and other structural elements.
Ensure all formwork is level, aligned and securely fixed to maintain structural integrity during concrete pours.
Install bracing and supports to stabilise formwork and prevent movement under load.
Strip and dismantle formwork after concrete has set, ensuring minimal damage for reuse where applicable.
Carry out modifications, repairs and adjustments to formwork structures as required on site.
Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers and other trades to ensure formwork meets project specifications.
Select and prepare appropriate materials, ensuring efficient use and minimal waste.
Follow workplace health and safety requirements, including safe handling of tools and materials.
Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a clean and organised condition.
