Qualifications
You have deep backend knowledge and consider yourself a systems thinker who strives to understand the “why” behind every decision
You thrive in environments where you have the autonomy and support to explore solutions that span the technical and business dimensions
Established record of building and scaling complex backend systems
Proficient in Python (we build with Django)
Experience building/tinkering with LLM APIs, agentic systems, graphs, and tools (we use OpenAI and the LangGraph library)
Empathy and strong communication skills
Ability to learn and adapt quickly
Nice to have: Frontend or UI experience (we use TailwindCSS, AlpineJS, and HTMX)
Nice to have: Infrastructure experience (we deploy on GCP using Terraform)

Nurra Health is building the missing layer between patients and the US healthcare system.

Nurra Health is hiring a Founding Engineer to help build and scale the multi-agent systems at the heart of NurraAI.

You have deep backend knowledge and consider yourself a systems thinker who strives to understand the “why” behind every decision. And you are eager to make a dent on a meaningful problem and help shape the direction of our product and tech in a cutting-edge field.

We are a hybrid company. We value in-person interactions, and have a local presence in San Francisco and New York City. We also meet in-person as a company once a quarter. Our ideal candidate is located in either city, and excited to work in person somewhat regularly.
