Our client is a large enterprise organization in the entertainment space seeking a forward-thinking Data Architect with strong data science and business analysis capabilities. This role will lead the design and evolution of our modern data ecosystem, enabling AI-driven insights and scalable data orchestration across the organization.
They are currently challenged by fragmented data sources, incomplete data coverage, and a lack of centralized data infrastructure. This role will be instrumental in building a unified, intelligent data platform that supports business decision-making and advanced AI use cases.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Data Architecture
Design and implement a modern enterprise data architecture (EDW + lakehouse) to unify distributed data sources.
Establish scalable data models, governance frameworks, and taxonomy standards.
Assess and improve the legitimacy, quality, and completeness of existing enterprise data systems.
Data Pipeline & Orchestration
Architect and oversee development of end-to-end data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
Enable real-time and batch data orchestration across multiple entertainment data domains.
Ensure data availability for BI systems, analytics platforms, and AI applications.
AI & Advanced Analytics Enablement
Build and optimize data infrastructure to support AI/ML use cases.
Partner with AI architects and data scientists to ensure pipelines are production-ready for intelligent systems.
Translate business needs into data products that power predictive insights and automation.
Data Lakehouse Development
Lead the design and implementation of a modern data lakehouse architecture.
Consolidate structured and unstructured data into a centralized, governed platform.
Drive adoption of scalable, cloud-based data technologies.
Taxonomy & Metadata Management
Define and implement tagging strategies, data classification systems, and metadata frameworks.
Act as a data taxonomist, ensuring consistent data definitions and discoverability across the enterprise.
Business & Insights Alignment
Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify data gaps and prioritize data acquisition strategies.
Function as a bridge between technical teams and business units, ensuring data solutions align with business outcomes.

Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or data science roles.

Scale by Zambezi is seeking a fractional Analyst Lead to serve as the lead architect and builder of our analytics ecosystem. This is a high-impact, individual contributor role for a strategic leader who thrives on execution. You won't just oversee a vision; you will personally engineer the foundational processes, measurement frameworks and data capabilities that power our media performance.
Acting as a bridge between high-level strategy and technical execution, you will own the end-to-end analytics lifecycle – from data harmonization to advanced visualization. As a key partner to media leadership, you'll ensure every creative and media decision is rooted in rigorous, actionable insight. Beyond day-to-day delivery, you will define Scale's measurement standards, creating a scalable roadmap and reusable frameworks that drive consistency, speed and precision.
This is a temporary part-time, hybrid role based in LA.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support Foundational Day-to-Day Reporting Operations
• Stewardship of current client reporting deliverables
• Ensure accurate, timely & QA'ed data across paid media channels, site analytics, and relevant client business data (as available).
• Implement and enforce reporting standards (taxonomy/naming conventions, KPI definitions, UTM governance) to enable consistent analysis.
• Review performance data cuts (cross-channel, audience, creative, reach/frequency, efficiency/effectiveness) and translate findings into clear actions.
• Support monthly & quarterly reporting with executive-ready storytelling tied to client goals and media strategy.
• Support ad-hoc requests to provide analysis on performance questions
• Client and vendor partnership
• Interface with client analytics/insights/data teams to align on KPIs, data definitions, governance, and measurement plans.
• Coordinate with external vendors/platforms on data ingestion, study outputs, and interpretation, ensuring recommendations are methodologically sound and operationally actionable.
