Freelance Publicist (Part-Time)
HAWK Publicity is an independent entertainment PR agency proudly representing some of the most exciting talent, brands and cultural projects in the industry. We build campaigns that cut through and we’re looking for a Freelance Publicist to support our growing roster.
This is a part-time freelance role, ideal for an experienced publicist looking to balance multiple clients, with the potential to scale to full-time as demand grows.
You’ll work across multiple client campaigns, supporting delivery end-to-end from strategy through to execution while staying on top of news cycles, pop culture and media trends.
Key responsibilities include:
Writing press releases
Pitching news, interviews, features, round-ups and reviews across print, online, radio, TV, podcasts and digital platforms
Overseeing client campaigns from briefing through to delivery
Executing promo both in-person and remotely, including Zoom interviews, media days and photo shoots
Supporting proposals, award entries and wider campaign planning
Advising on and supporting crisis communications where required
What We’re Looking For
A proven freelance publicist with strong experience in entertainment, music, culture or lifestyle PR
A genuine passion for media, storytelling and cultural moments
A strong black book of contacts across print, online, radio, TV, podcasts, events and digital creators
Highly organised, proactive and comfortable juggling multiple campaigns in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
Calm, solutions-focused and confident working independently
Support & Structure
You’ll be supported by a Publicity Assistant, who will help with:
Press cuttings and reporting
Press release servicing
Updating media lists and databases
Research and talent invites
Playlist searches and monitoring
Social monitoring and file management
This allows you to focus on strategy, pitching and campaign leadership.
