We are seeking a Fashion Designer to join our team on a part-time basis contract in Jaipur. This role focuses on supporting our pre-production processes with an emphasis on creativity, precision, and market relevance.
Key Responsibilities:
Design stunning women's clothing.
Collaborate closely with the product development and production teams to ensure cohesive designs aligned with brand aesthetics.
Develop sketches, technical drawings, and design prototypes for upcoming collections.
Conduct market research to understand trends, colors, fabrics, and styles popular in the US market.
Lead the sampling process, including the development of prototypes and samples, to ensure designs meet quality, fit standards, and brand aesthetics.
Oversee fabric selection, sourcing, and sampling to meet design objectives and production standards.
Provide creative input during fitting sessions to ensure the final product aligns with design intent.
Ensure accurate documentation throughout the pre-production process, including design specifications, measurements, and fabric details.
Maintain awareness of sustainable practices in the design and production process.
Qualifications:
Experience: Proven experience in designing apparel for the US market or alternatively for European and Australian markets.
Creativity and a passion to design the perfect piece of clothing.
Fluent in English
Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and trims.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of current fashion trends and technologies
Have a genuine passion for Sustainability
Based in Jaipur, India or be able to commute to Jaipur on a regular basis.
Education: Degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
Bonus: Skilled in photography and content creation
