Key Responsibilities Of a New Teacher Mentor
• Guidance and Support:
• Provide support and guidance to new teachers, particularly during their first few years.
• Help new teachers with classroom management, lesson planning, and implementing school-wide policies.
• Connect new teachers with other faculty members and staff to build a professional network.
• Observation and Feedback:
• Observe new teachers in the classroom and provide constructive feedback.
• Discuss lesson plans, student progress, and classroom management strategies.
• Help new teachers identify areas for improvement and development.
• Resource Provision :
• Provide new teachers with necessary resources, including materials, technology, and professional development opportunities.
• Advocate for new teachers within the school community and district.
• Support new teachers in their transition to a new environment.
