Front Desk Supervisor
Location: The Allure Hotel and Conference Centre
Job Type: Full-Time
The Allure Hotel and Conference Centre is seeking a dynamic, motivated, and guest-focused Front Desk Supervisor to lead our Guest Services Team and help create extraordinary experiences for our guests.
As a 161-room hotel with 13 meeting rooms and a full-service restaurant and bar, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service and hospitality. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is ideal for an individual passionate about hospitality, leadership, and maximizing guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Experience & Service Excellence:
Deliver outstanding, personalized service to all guests
Follow up and resolve all guest issues and concerns
Ensure a high level of knowledge about hotel facilities, services, and promotions
Respond to guest feedback on platforms such as Medallia, Google, Booking.com, and Expedia
Leadership & Team Management:
Supervise, schedule, and train a professional and knowledgeable Guest Services Team
Maintain front desk coverage and assist in staffing during all shifts, including emergencies
Conduct regular team meetings and communicate departmental procedures and goals
Operations & Administration:
Oversee daily front office operations including reservations, rate management, and occupancy maximization
Handle account receivables, financial transactions, and daily revenue reports
Must know how to perform night audit processes and ensure audit reports, no-shows, and credit card balances are accurate
Assist in meeting room bookings, setups, and billing
Act as Manager on Duty and support other departments as required
Compliance & Reporting:
Maintain proper credit control procedures
Ensure adherence to Fire Safety, WHMIS, and Health & Safety regulations and training
Complete Daily Operations Reports (DOR)
Reconcile third-party website transactions and financials
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year experience in hotel management or front office operations
Post-secondary education in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
Proficiency with MS Office, Windows; knowledge of Opera PMS is an asset
Must be available for various shifts, including weekends and statutory holidays
Ability to work effectively in a high-paced, guest-centric environment
Bonus Skills & Requirements:
· Must be available for all shifts including weekends, and statutory holidays
· Must possess high motivational skills with the ability to lead with little supervision
· Must be available to work and cover any shift in emergency situations
· Must know how to do night audit process and audit related reports
· Must be responsible to make sure that front desk staffing is properly done and front desk is always covered.
· Must be willing to take extra initiative and responsibility as and when required by the management.
· Must know basic maintenance and housekeeping operations
Preference will be given to applicants who are proficient and can assist in the following daily accounting functions:
Experience in daily accounting functions, including payment reconciliation and invoice processing
Ability to identify and correct audit errors and system adjustments
Reconcile Credit Card, Debit, and Cash Payments
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
