About the Role
Black Star Pastry is going from strength to strength and we are moments away from bringing our “world’s most instagrammed cake” to our adoring South Sydney fans with our newest kiosk, due to open at Sydney's popular Hurstville Westfield!
The store showcases Black Star Pastry's innovative style bringing the unique Black Star Pastry experience to a wider audience. On offer will be the full range of Black Star Pastry’s signature cakes, together with all of our other yummy treats.
With this we have a need for experienced Front of House All-Rounders to bring their energy and passion for hospitality to our dynamic team. Joining us on the Black Star Pastry journey is not just about fulfilling orders: it's about serving our guests with a smile and ensuring they have an out-of-this-world experience. We're searching for people-focused individuals who thrive in a collaborative team environment and share our passion for delivering excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Day-to-day, you'll be involved in the following (plus some other activities):
Being a fun and friendly brand ambassador of Black Star Pastry - with the ability to forge connections with customers, offering a stellar experience in welcoming our new customers, or brand-fans to their BSP Hurstville experience.
Having a thorough knowledge of all product offerings, in order to be able to accurately advise customers - including pricing, ingredients, etc.
Confidently making food and beverage recommendations to customers anticipating their needs and wants.
Participating in the pre-service preparation of food and beverage options.
Ensuring a consistent quality and presentation of food meeting the high BSP standards.
Being familiar with food and beverage service etiquette, serving all food and beverage in a professional manner and to the required standards.
Polishing of silverware, glassware and cutlery as needed.
Maintaining appropriate level of knowledge and certification in Food & Safety standards .
