The hotel is central and unique, located only a short distance from the Mandurah foreshore and an hour from Perth. Boasting a lagoon heated pool, half tennis courts, spa, saunas, and a fully licensed bar and restaurant. Boasting 117 rooms with the king, twin, 1- and 2-bedroom studio rooms.
Managed by leading hospitality management company 1834 Hotels. The successful candidate will be a dedicated, hard-working, and hands-on hospitality management professional with a passion for driving sales, growing and developing teams, managing expenses and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
The key responsibilities will include:
Work within set budgets in relation to wage costs and ensure rosters are compiled and adjusted appropriate to demand.
Maximise yield through consistent monitoring and effective utilisation of room rates, occupancy and packages using every opportunity to promote hotel facilities in order to maximise sales.
Develop a thorough knowledge of venue facilities including number, location and types of rooms.
Consistently drive growth of our accommodation facilities through sound marketing/up selling and staff training and development.
Ensure accuracy of reservations in respect of deposit information, billing, credit details, VIP guest special requests, room rates, return guest and new guest information.
Maintain liaison and develop good relationships with existing clients, local residents and businesses, as well as focusing on establishing new business.
Focus on quoting, booking and selling all group bookings, particularly bus groups.
The ideal candidate will have:
A can-do, responsible, and flexible approach to work.
Comprehensive financial understanding of managing a profitable operation and managing costs particularly controlling wages.
Prior experience in leading, developing and mentoring a Front Office team.
Initiative, commitment and passion for your job.
The ability to communicate effectively with your team and other heads of department.
An ability to thrive under pressure and direct your team in a high paced environment.
Proven ability to be a proactive individual with strong organisational and time management skills.
A great sense of style and immaculate presentation and grooming.
Demonstrated understanding of Hospitality Industry (General) Award compliance; and
A strong appreciation and compliance of workplace safety.
This is a full-time salaried role, although predominantly Monday – Friday you may be required to work a variety of shifts over a 7- day roster, including weekends, nights and public holidays.
