• Carefully extracting merchandise for safe loading onto delivery trucks and supporting both patrons and staff in safely transporting products.
The Fulfillment Technician is responsible for pulling and preparing orders, filling shelves, and loading merchandise into automobiles. The associate must engage in communication with fellow associates to guarantee the timely delivery of correct products to consumers. With an emphasis on precision, the Fulfillment Associate must possess the skills to inspect and prepare products and invoices for delivery and pick-up. The associate must also assist in loading truck deliveries with goods, including larger products such as appliances. Safety is extremely crucial, as this job entails frequent lifting and movement of goods by the associate for staff and customers. Fulfillment Associates in the Pro Department must obtain Power Equipment (PE) certification within a month of their commencement date to operate forklift, pallet jack, and electrical lift.
Travel Requirements:
The position does not entail frequent travelling, but there may be situations where the employee needs to attend meetings, trainings or provide support to other stores located nearby.
It is important to note that we have a list of specific qualifications that we consider necessary for this role, and we expect potential candidates to possess these skills:
• The Option of Full-Time or Part-Time Hourly Work: Individuals can either choose to work full time, which means committing to around 3+ to 40 hours per week, or they can select part-time work which provides up to 25 hours per week, and more if the store requires it.
• The role requires the candidate to be accessible throughout the day, every day of the week.
• The position may necessitate physical endurance, such as long periods of standing, sitting, and performing other essential job functions.
• The job necessitates the person to be physically capable of lifting a weight of 25 pounds minimum without any support, and they may need to lift heavier objects with or without external assistance.
The Principles of Success: The principles of success include setting goals, staying focused, being disciplined, and never quitting:
Minimum Qualifications:
• Fundamental arithmetic operations, reading, and writing are capabilities that are crucial to master.
• Handling computer operations effortlessly for a 6 month period, including the tasks of inputting, retrieving, modifying, and outputting data.
• After 6 months working with retail technology, including smart phones and tablets, I have gained a practical understanding of utilizing them in daily operations.
• Adherence to legal regulations for securing sales related licensure or registration.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with the retail environment for a duration of six months.
• To be considered for this position, the applicant must have spent time working in a customer service or product fulfillment role at a home improvement or hardware retailer for a period of six months in a department related to plumbing, electrical, kitchen, or lawn and garden.
• My skills in inspecting, handling, loading and unloading materials or products have been greatly honed during my 6-month tenure in the industry.
