Qualifications
The ideal candidate has a strong technical track record, has worked on high traffic, production applications and has the ability to work across our full tech stack
3+ years production experience working with PHP/Laravel
Shopify experience; Liquid templates and/or Hydrogen
Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases
Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, NodeJS, React, Tailwind
Experience with JavaScript framework e.g., NextJS/Remix/React Router & React/Vue/Svelte)
Understanding of Docker/AWS Services
Experience with Agile/Kanban methodologies and best practices
Excellent communication skills and the ability to have fun in a small team environment
Production experience building cloud based, distributed, resilient systems with the ability to handle large and variable traffic volumes
Experience with Clerk
Experience with Algolia
Experience with GraphQL
BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer, they will play a crucial role in contributing to the overall success of our software development initiatives
Writing code and feature development: Take a feature from start to finish, working with their tech lead to proactively ask questions, clarify questions and implement a feature
This would also include working with stakeholders for UAT feedback and the QA team
Code Quality and Best Practices: Write code, enforce coding standards, best practices, and development methodologies within the team, conduct regular code reviews and offer constructive feedback to maintain a high-quality codebase
Innovation and Continuous Learning: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices while fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the engineering team
On-call Support: Participate in a cross-team on-call rotation with other engineers to provide incident response for high-priority incidents, demonstrating the ability to lead incident response activities effectively

About the Opportunity:

Work Location: This role offers a hybrid work schedule, with a requirement to be onsite 1 day per week in either our Utah or Downtown Los Angeles location.
