We are currently seeking a research-oriented practitioner test architect in the field of verification and validation. The person needs to not only know the state of the art in test automation but also should have contributed to open-source test frameworks.
You’ll break new ground by:
• Drive research, development, and consulting projects in close teamwork with colleagues, customers, and universities.
• Define, strategize, and implement effective test strategy as per business goals.
• Evaluate and improve test automation technologies (e.g., by prototypes). Hands-on skills in applying the above techniques to real industrial problems to deliver solutions to Siemens business globally.
• Be a quality evangelist and propagate innovative test methods and technologies across Siemens.
You’re excited to build on your existing expertise, including:
• 8-12 years of experience, with a start of career as a developer and then later transitioned to an SDET role or test architect role.
• Comfortable with Helm, Terraform, as well as popular test automation frameworks (Robot Framework/Selenium)
• Exposure to testing/test automation for generative AI applications is an advantage.
• Experience in the use of AI/ML techniques to improve quality would be an added advantage.
• A publication record or invention disclosures is a plus.
Soft Skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills in English are a must.
• While you are self-motivated and capable of working independently, you are also comfortable in guiding and managing teams.
Qualifications
• B.E. or master’s, preferably in computer science, with more than 8 years of experience, 1 of which in a test automation researcher or similar role
• QA-related publications in developer/tester conferences would be a plus.
