Meal Prep Ottawa is looking for a reliable full-time dishwasher to join our main production kitchen at 78-A Jamie Ave. This role is essential to keeping our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. We are looking for someone who is hardworking, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced food production environment.
This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, shows up on time, and understands the importance of cleanliness and organization in a professional kitchen.
Responsibilities:
Wash trays, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
Maintain cleanliness of the dish area and kitchen workspaces
Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently
Assist with garbage, recycling, and compost removal
Support kitchen staff as needed with basic cleaning tasks
Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
Keep floors, walls, and work areas clean and organized
Requirements:
Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience is an asset but not required
Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
Comfortable working in a busy production kitchen
