Full Time Kitchen Helper
Job Description:
· Develop and maintain professional functional working relationships with Saboten team Members
· Prepare food ingredients by cleaning, slicing, mixing and cooking foods
· Use kitchen equipment like deep fryers, blenders, oven, food slicers, dispensers and can openers to prepare orders
· Basic plate and portion preparation; both dine-in and take-out
· Assist with inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
· Communicate Servers’ food orders and service requests in an accurate and timely manner
· Have full knowledge of all menu items and how the food should appear on the plate (including correct garnish and plating)
· Stock and rotate all needed supplies in the service areas and dining room
· Comply with all federal, state and local regulations as well as the Saboten Safety Manual and SOP health, sanitation and safety guidelines
· Clean and sanitize kitchen, work area, food equipment and kitchen utensil
· Perform all cleaning duties according to the posted cleaning charts
· Comply with Saboten uniform and appearance standards per SOP guidelines
Job Requirement
· Prior experience or training is desired, but may not be required
· Certificate of FOODSAFE Level 1 is an asset
· Fluent in spoken English, Chinese and/or Japanese speaking is a bonus
· High integrity and work ethics
· Able to work independently and collaboratively
· Passionate and enthusiastic in delivering all the job responsibilities
· Ability to work in a shifting schedule including weekends and holidays
