About The Role The role is based in the Pune R&D Center, at SAS R&D Pune facility. We are looking for a Sr Associate Software Developer to help us build SAS Analytics For IoT product. You will be a part of the Analytics For IoT development team, working on new/existing software. You will design, build, and support UI (primary) and Go/Java for the application, work on various cross cutting concerns not limited to security, accessibility, code reviews, etc. in the best possible manner, within reasonable timelines. We follow Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and CI/CD processes for development. Deliver well tested, high quality, high performing code on promised estimated timelines. Furthermore, you will be joining a friendly team with a broad range of experience. Essential Technology Experience • At least 3 years of working experience in design, developing UI using JavaScript/TypeScript with REST API service based backend or Java EE based enterprise applications. • Experience developing ReactJS and Redux • Good understanding and usage of OOAD, SOLID principles, etc. • Understanding of design patterns for UI and programming concepts. • Excellent programming skills with JavaScript, TypeScript, Core Java, Java EE, Go. • Understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA). • Using REST, XML, JSON effectively. • Exposure to Cloud environment deployments like Kubernetes, docker, etc. • Familiarity with JDBC, SQL, Databases. • Should have good debugging skills. • Familiarity with CSS and theming. • Hands on knowledge of using various application server • Familiarity with multiple operating systems • Knowledge of software development processes and Quality Standards • Familiar with Agile methodology, CI/CD and with tools such as Jira, Confluence • Experience on Windows as well Linux operating system with basic troubleshooting skills • Working knowledge of tools like Jenkins, Git, Gerrit. • Good logical problem-solving capability, A quick and self-learner to adopt and use new technologies. Primary Responsibilities • Design and develop UI Front End using REST API Services backend or Java EE/Go based enterprise application using SAS Viya. • Use and define APIs for the product as per the requirement of the client tier. • Understand product functionality from previous versions and derive suitable new behavior. • Work with mid-tier and server tier teams to fulfill the requirements. • Implement test based development process that focuses on delivering high quality products • Provide documentation and technical publications for external and internal customers • Coding in JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJS, Redux, Java, Go. CANDIDATE PROFILE Background And Experience SAS is seeking a full stack developer with a hands-on development experience of 3 to 5 years in REST API service based backend or Java EE or Go based enterprise applications. The candidate should have sharp design and debugging skills, and proven record of developing to requirements with client focused delivery.
