Are you ready to bring your accounting skills to the next level? We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Fund Accountant to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will be responsible for maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, and conducting detailed variance analysis. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of GAAP, Financial Accounting, and Fund Accounting. Responsibilities
• Prepare and analyze quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis to understand the nature of each line item on the balance sheet.
• Maintain and implement internal controls over financial reporting.
• Perform advanced Excel functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs for data analysis and reporting.
• Manage the accounting for private equity real estate funds and private credit.
• Prepare and review fund-level financial statements including the Statement of Net Assets and Statement of Operations.
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure a successful and timely completion of the audit process.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required by management.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, Financial Accounting, and Fund Accounting.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs.
• Experience in accounting for private equity real estate funds and private credit is a plus.
• Strong understanding of balance sheet and variance analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain and implement internal controls over financial reporting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
• CPA designation or working towards obtaining CPA designation is preferred.
