Part-Time Funeral Director Assistant (Portuguese Speaking Required)
**Vescio Funeral Homes – Toronto Chapel (2080 Dufferin St.)**
Vescio Funeral Homes is currently seeking Part-Time Funeral Director Assistants to join our team at our Toronto location (2080 Dufferin St.).
Due to the strong connection with our local community, Portuguese language skills are required to properly assist and communicate with the families we serve.
This role involves assisting our Funeral Directors during visitations, services, and receptions, as well as supporting funeral services outside the funeral home when required.
Responsibilities
Assist Funeral Directors during visitations and funeral services
Greet families and visitors with professionalism and compassion
Help guide guests to visitation rooms or service areas
Assist with setting up flowers and preparing service areas
Support funeral processions and occasionally drive vehicles
Prepare and serve coffee and refreshments during receptions
Maintain cleanliness and organization of public areas
Assist with parking coordination and general service support
Requirements
Portuguese speaking required
Valid G Driver’s Licence with clean driving record
Professional appearance and demeanor
Black suit, white dress shirts, and black leather dress shoes required
Ability to work respectfully in sensitive environments
Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
Preferred (Not Required)
Experience in hospitality, customer service, or funeral service
Experience driving limousines or larger vehicles
