About the job
Position: LLM – Computational Astrologer (Ganita Jyotish)
Type: Short-Term Contract
Location: Remote
Commitment: 8 hours/day, 4-hour overlap with PST
Engagement Length: 1.5 months
Start Date: Immediate
Role Responsibilities
Create 15–25 calculation-heavy evaluation problems per month with exact numerical answers
Design problems covering planetary longitude computation, Lagna degree calculation, and Dasha balance computation
Construct Bhinnashtakavarga and Sarvashtakavarga tables
Perform full 36-point Ashtakoot (Guna Milan) matching calculations
Compute Shadbala and other planetary strength metrics
Provide step-by-step mathematical derivations with formulas and intermediate values
Verify numerical answers using at least two Jyotish software tools
Document all computational assumptions (Ayanamsa, conventions, etc.)
Requirements
Formal training in Ganita Jyotish or Siddhantic astronomy
Strong computational Jyotish practice or teaching
Ability to compute planetary longitudes using Surya Siddhanta or modern ephemeris methods
Mastery of Ashtakavarga (8-planet contribution matrix)
Proficiency in full Ashtakoot Guna Milan scoring including exception rules
Strong numerical accuracy (degree-minute-second arithmetic, modular arithmetic, time-zone conversions)
Comfortable working with Jyotish software (Jagannatha Hora, Parashara Light, or equivalent)
Ability to document calculations clearly in structured English
