Responsibilities
• Lead and ensure accounting / Tax operation and reporting of 1 Japanese legal entity of MAHLE in order to maintain the reliability of financial statements and efficiency of the operation process.
• Timely and accurate preparation and maintenance of all financial statements and internal reports complying with group requirement, German GAAP and Japan GAAP with updating new accounting and tax rules
• Ensure monthly and quarterly closing process and high quality of accounting report package.
• Well-manage external and internal auditors
• External contacts include :
• MAHLE affiliates on all Interco reconciliations
• BU controllers in Japan on joint topics, starting with accruals, company valuations and so on
• External auditors on audit planning and execution.
• Internal auditors on all audits performed in Japan
• Manage tax return process and ensure to maximize the benefit of taxation
• Communicate with Tax professional including tax return, international tax matters
• Response to tax investigation with supervisor
• Transfer pricing experience is a plus
Qualifications
• Successful experience in an international environment and hands on approach
• 12 years+ accounting experience
• Experience in manufacturing industry or company with production site is preferable.
• Successful experience as a team manager to lead middle-sized team (5+ people) as well as to coordinate / manage relationship among several department.
• Holding a CPA and / or licensed tax accountant is a strong plus.
• Attention to detail, yet ability to maintain an 80 / 20 mindset
• Fast learner and adapt change quickly
• Excellent interpersonal skill and comfortable to work with multinational and multi-cultural teams
• Intermediate / advance level of Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint .
• Hands on experience in SAP is strong plus
