Job Description
Role Overview The General Ledger Specialist plays a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and integrity. You will be responsible for managing general ledger activities, supporting the month-end close, and ensuring accurate financial reporting across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and maintain month-end close activities including accruals and journal entries
• Perform balance sheet and P&L reconciliations and reporting
• Maintain general ledger and chart of accounts
• Review financial data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare and analyze financial statements
• Support audits, tax preparation, and compliance activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for accurate financial reporting
• Assist in improving accounting systems, policies, and processes
• Manage AP-related tasks and expense tracking workflows
Requirements
• 5–7 years of experience in General Ledger, Accounting, or Finance (AP/AR exposure is a plus)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation processes
• Proficiency in Excel for financial reporting and analysis
• Experience with accounting systems (NetSuite preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work UK/US hours
• CPA, CA, or equivalent qualification is a plus
