Celebrating our 108th anniversary, Bartlett Lodge is Algonquin Park's smallest and most historic lodge! We have 12 cabins, 2 suites, and 2 platform tents that house our guests from around the world. Experience a once in a lifetime opportunity to live and work in one of Canada's oldest Provincial Parks.
We are hiring for 1 (one) General Maintenance position. This position is a full-time contract position LOCATED IN ALGONQUIN PARK with a July 20th 2026 start date until the end of our season on October 31st, 2026.
You must be able to complete the entire season to be considered for this position. You may be required to work holidays, weekends, split shifts, and on occasion 6-day weeks. Since we are a smaller resort, we are able to give our guests personalized attention. The successful candidate should be outgoing and possess a natural talent for customer service.
Pay is based on an hourly wage of $22-$25/hour plus a share of our generous tip pool. For a full-time staff member in 2026, tips worked out to an extra $10,000 cumulative for the entire season, or almost $9 more per hour.
Qualifications/Duties include:
Experienced in the areas of general maintenance with an emphasis on plumbing
Experienced framer, with skills in building and working with wood
Operate Bartlett's boats to provide safe transport of lodge guests and visitors to and from Lodge property
General outdoor and resort maintenance and handy type work
Demonstrate a strong work ethic and team approach
Provide professional and friendly service to all resort guests
Assist guests with luggage and other cabin related requests
Repairs including plumbing, mechanical, heating, furnishings and fixtures, light carpentry, door and window repairs
Perform other resort maintenance tasks as required including but not limited to lawn care, property maintenance, and cleaning
If the candidate is willing to relocate, we provide staff accommodations and two meals per day. Employees are welcome to use our amenities including canoes, kayaks, and bikes. Employees are also able to enjoy unlimited access to the park at no cost during their days off. Pay is in addition to our generous tip pool.
