Mackenzie County is currently inviting applications for a Casual General Maintenance Labourer – Custodian position. The primary location for this position will be in La Crete. This is a unionized position and the hours of work are on an as needed basis.
Reporting to the Project Coordinator, the successful applicants will be responsible for:
Providing janitorial services at the buildings that are directly or indirectly administrated by Mackenzie County.
Ensuring a high standard and consistent level of cleanliness throughout the facilities;
Cleaning of washrooms, offices, meeting rooms & lunch rooms;
Waste removal;
Floor care (including vacuuming, wet mopping, etc.);
Window cleaning;
Bi-annual seasonal cleaning;
Reporting damage and major repairs;
Comply with security regulations such as ensuring all doors & windows are secured;
Other duties as required.
Requirements for these positions are:
Previous custodial experience;
Good verbal communication skills;
Ability to work under minimal supervision within a team environment;
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License;
Evidence of successfully passing a police Criminal Record Check.
Wage Range: $23.61/hour – $31.33/hour. This position does not qualify for benefits.
