### Job Summary:
The General Manager (GM) for the Precast Engineering Building (PEB) plant is responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, logistics, safety, and personnel management. The GM ensures that the plant operates efficiently and meets production targets while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
### Key Responsibilities:
• 1. Operations Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the PEB plant, ensuring that production schedules are met.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Monitor and optimize the use of plant resources, including materials, equipment, and labor.
• 2. Production Planning:
- Coordinate with the production planning team to develop production schedules that meet customer requirements and company goals.
- Ensure that production targets are met on time and within budget.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes.
• 3. Quality Control:
- Maintain high standards of product quality by implementing and overseeing quality control procedures.
- Work closely with the quality assurance team to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• 4. Maintenance and Safety:
- Oversee the maintenance of plant equipment to ensure reliable and efficient operations.
- Implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to promote a culture of safety.
• 5. Personnel Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of supervisors, engineers, and plant workers.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees.
- Handle recruitment, training, and development of plant staff.
• 6. Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the plant budget, including cost control and expenditure tracking.
- Analyze financial performance and implement strategies to improve profitability.
- Collaborate with the finance department to prepare financial reports.
• 7. Logistics and Supply Chain:
- Oversee the procurement of raw materials and ensure timely delivery of finished products to customers.
- Work with the logistics team to optimize supply chain operations and reduce costs.
• 8. Strategic Planning:
- Contribute to the development of the company’s strategic goals and objectives.
- Identify opportunities for business growth and expansion.
- Collaborate with senior management to implement strategic initiatives.
### Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
- Strong knowledge of precast engineering building (PEB) processes and technologies.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards in the construction/manufacturing industry.
### Work Environment:
- This position is based in a manufacturing plant environment, which may involve exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery.
- The role requires regular interaction with plant personnel, as well as occasional travel to meet with clients and suppliers.
