Fetch Park is currently seeking a General Manager to join our dynamic team. As the General Manager, you will play a vital role in managing the bar, and dog park operations, ensuring an exceptional experience for our members, their pups and guests. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Primary responsibilities include:
Under the direction of the Regional Manager you will:
General
Oversee and manage all areas of the dog park and bar and make final decisions on important matters.
Financial
Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including beverage, supply, utility, and labor costs.
Responsible for ensuring that all financial (invoices, reporting) and personnel/payroll-related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time, and according to company policies and procedures.
Food safety and planning
Maintain a professional and safe environment, including park & bar cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards.
Estimate food and beverage costs. Work with the Regional Manager to efficiently provision and purchase supplies. Supervise portion control and quantities of preparation to minimize waste.
Under the supervison of the Regional Manager estimate bar needs & park needs, place orders with distributors, and schedule the delivery of supplies.
Guest Service
Ensure positive guest service in all areas. Respond to complaints, taking all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.
Operational responsibilities
Ensure proper security procedures are in place to protect employees, guests, and company assets.
Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents. Completes incident/accident reports promptly as per policy.
Manage shifts, which include daily decision-making, scheduling, and planning while upholding standards, product quality, and cleanliness.
Investigate and resolve complaints concerning incidents, staff, and bar.
Personnel
Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues.
Interview hourly employees. Direct hiring, supervision, development and, when necessary, termination of employees.
Conducted orientation, explain the Fetch Park Philosophy, and oversee training new employees.
Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback, establishing performance expectations, and conducting performance reviews. Document necessary feedback in staff member’s Team Member Log.
Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of park staffing needs. Reviewing all labor reports for the volume season and the off-volume season. Prepare schedules and ensure that the park schedule is posted in a timely manner.
Community Involvement
Provide a strong presence in the local community and maintain a high level of community involvement by personnel.
Events
Plan and oversee any events that are scheduled for your park location. Ensure the pre-planning and run of the event is handled with precision and information is disseminated to staff with advance notice.
QUALIFICATIONS
MUST LOVE DOGS!
Have a working knowledge in the following functions: Operations of a bar, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, recordkeeping, and preparation of reports.
Self-discipline, forward thinking, initiative, leadership ability and outgoing personality.
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
SUPERVISION OF OTHERS
5+ employees each shift
WORKING CONDITIONS
Around with multiple dogs, employees, and guests at one time.
Most work activities are outdoors
Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 45 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion.
