Role Summary
The General Manager – Human Resources will lead the HR function by spearheading Centres of Excellence (CoEs) across key HR domains. The incumbent will be responsible for driving Performance Management, Compensation & Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Organizational Development, and HR Digital Transformation. This role is pivotal in shaping a high-performance culture, designing future-ready organization structures, and ensuring policy governance aligned with Vikram Solar’s business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership & Centre of Excellence (CoE) Management
• Lead CoEs across Compensation & Benefits, Talent Management, Learning & Development, HR Technology, and Organizational Effectiveness.
• Partner with business leaders to embed HR as a strategic enabler of business transformation and performance.
• Govern HR strategic planning aligned with short and long-term organizational goals.
Performance Management System (PMS) & Organizational Development
• Lead the design and implementation of a robust PMS framework with continuous feedback mechanisms and goal alignment.
• Identify HiPos and drive leadership development initiatives.
• Design and execute Organizational Development strategies to support change management and cultural transformation.
Policy Formulation & HR Governance
• Architect HR policies and procedures that ensure compliance, fairness, and alignment with corporate values.
• Drive standardization and continuous improvement of HR processes with built-in controls.
Organizational Structure Design
• Lead organization structure reviews to support business expansion, agility, and productivity.
• Advise business heads on role clarity, span of control, and workforce optimization.
Total Rewards & C&B Strategy
• Design and administer competitive compensation programs aligned with business goals and industry benchmarks.
• Implement retention-focused reward strategies and communicate them effectively to leadership and employees.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
• Build a scalable talent acquisition strategy for high-quality and timely hiring across levels.
• Lead campus hiring, leadership hiring, and build employer branding initiatives.
Employee Experience & Engagement
• Drive engagement through R&R programs, leadership connect sessions, and experience-based interventions.
• Continuously improve employee satisfaction and retention by leveraging analytics and feedback tools.
HR Digital Transformation & HRIS
• Lead digitalization initiatives including HRIS deployment and people analytics using Tableau, Power BI, etc.
• Use data-driven insights to support strategic HR decision-making and predictive talent planning.
Global Mobility & Compliance
• Manage cross-border movements and expatriate lifecycle in adherence to global and local regulations.
• Ensure 100% statutory compliance across all HR operations.
Sustainability & CSR
• Champion ESG and CSR initiatives by embedding sustainability into employee culture and engagement.
• Lead programs around inclusion, mentoring, and social impact partnerships.
Key Qualifications & Experience
• 18–22 years of diverse HR experience with 5+ years in a strategic leadership role.
• Strong experience in manufacturing/energy/technology sectors is a plus.
• Expertise in Performance Management, CoE leadership, policy development, OD, and C&B.
• Proven ability in managing digital HR transformation, global mobility, and HR operations.
• Familiarity with HR tools like SAP, PeopleSoft, SuccessFactors, and BI tools.
