Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a 5th Shift General Manufacturing Manager 1 to join our AIMS Team in Linthicum, MD. (BWI East, AIMS)

You would be responsible for the direct supervision of approximately 15 -20 represented (union) employees and processes in a printed wiring board (PWB) manufacturing environment. You will work independently across organizations; manage the use of consumables to achieve budget targets; assign and manage represented SEA Technicians to maximize efficiency and achieve target productive yields; implement our process improvements to improve affordability, quality, and schedule; and perform required SAP/CATS/Workday transactions to manage the M&P Specialists. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership skills and ability, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. 5th Shift Hours - 7:00pm - 7:00am (Friday through Sunday) What You'll get to Do: Direct and coordinate the activities to plan, prepare, issue, and control production schedules, in conjunction with Material Requirements Planning, to meet production/delivery requirements Oversee the status of work in process, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that equipment, materials, and services are available, as needed Assign and manage staff to maximize efficiency and achieve schedule and target productive yields Perform required SAP/CATS/Workday transactions to manage personnel, planning and financials Provide specific direction and training, as required Ensure 5S practices within cell areas Utilize both internal and external resources, and coordinate cell and functional activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, inventory control, transportation, etc

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in a Manufacturing, Receiving and/or Inventory environment, Master's degree with 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing, Receiving and/or Inventory environment; + years of experience in a Manufacturing, Receiving and/or Inventory environment may be considered in lieu of a degree. In-depth understanding of production concepts in a manufacturing environment. Strong skill base in Microsoft Office Products (Excel and Word) U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Level Security Clearance is required

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, or other STEM area. Background in Circuit board manufacturing or a related field. Experience working with PWB manufacturing equipment and processes. Prior experience working in a represented (union) environment. Experience with SAP/MES. Lean Manufacturing Experience.

Salary Range: $+0,700 - $136,100

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
