We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Consultant/Specialist Geriatrician to join our multidisciplinary team in Regional Victoria.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to provide expert care to older adults, managing complex medical conditions across various settings. As a Consultant Geriatrician, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care, lead and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, and contribute to the development of geriatric services.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care to older adults with complex medical conditions
Lead and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop individualized care plans
Provide leadership in the development and implementation of geriatric models of care, including orthogeriatric, cognitive assessment clinics, and rehabilitation services
Supervise and mentor junior doctors, registrars, and allied health professionals
Collaborate with local healthcare providers and community organizations to enhance continuity of care and promote healthy aging
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Registration with AHPRA as a specialist in Geriatric Medicine (or eligibility for registration)
Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Geriatric Medicine or equivalent
Demonstrated experience in managing complex geriatric cases and providing holistic care
Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
A commitment to improving geriatric care services through innovation and education
