Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for General Accounting duties.
What will you be doing?
Perform daily operations and work on End-to-end Process improvement
Perform the activities like monthly journal entries to meet the aligned SLA/KPIs
Process transactions in SAP (Asset acquisitions, disposals and transfers, manual debit/credit notes, etc.)
Assist in completion of account reconciliations
Conduct timely communication upon the inquiries from internal/external customers/concerned groups, for the operational transparency on the transactional activities
Follow the up-to-date operational procedures, adherence to the standardized process landscape
Enhance and document accounting processes
Timely identify the potential issues and make the appropriate suggestion for correction and/or escalation
Participate in the implementation of quality / continuous improvement projects (Lean Event) and be active in driving daily huddle
Support and initiate process improvement initiatives and related projects, be proactive and creative on contributing ideas for service improvement
Operational compliance on all regulatory, internal/external guidelines and support on audit activities
Act as a back up for other team member/s as per aligned back up structure. Ensure proper knowledge transfer between back ups.
Execute knowledge transfer / work shadowing sessions in countries
Ensure all the up-to-date operational procedures are maintained, documented and executed, all the operations adherence to the standardized process documented and executed
Relationship Management
Maintain positive work relationship with members of other teams in and outside of the SSC to whom information is provided or from whom information is gathered.
Assist in establishing and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external customers and ensure customer satisfaction.
Interface with other SSC teams to ensure compliance with cross-team responsibilities
Taking care about work atmosphere / creating proper work atmosphere by proper behavior / approach / attitude
What do we expect?
Education:
Qualified Chartered Accountants
Business experience:
5+ years’ experience in general accounting required (especially in a corporation)
IFRS knowledge preferred
Experience preparing account reconciliations
Audit experience preferred
Desirable on working experience in a Shared Serviced Center
Project Management experience - will be an advantage
2+ years SAP Module (FI/CO) knowledge, Good knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook
