We are looking for a Google Cloud Architect to design, implement, and maintain highly reliable and scalable cloud infrastructure. This role requires deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), automation, observability, and incident response to ensure high availability and operational excellence of critical applications and services.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the Architect, design, deployment, and management of scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud (GCP).
• Establish SRE best practices to improve system reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and CI/CD pipelines using Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes (GKE).
• Monitor and improve system performance, availability, and latency through proactive observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or Google Cloud Operations Suite.
• Drive incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and postmortems to prevent recurring issues.
• Optimize cloud cost management and capacity planning to balance performance and efficiency.
• Work with DevOps, Security, and Engineering teams to implement security best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Improve disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity strategies, ensuring high availability and failover mechanisms.
• Implement SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs, ensuring continuous improvements in system reliability.
• Mentor and guide junior SREs, fostering a culture of operational excellence.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure roles, with at least 3+ years on Google Cloud (GCP).
• Strong expertise in GCP services (GKE, Cloud Run, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, VPC, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, Cloud Pub/Sub, and Cloud SQL).
• Hands-on experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes (GKE) and container orchestration.
• Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Go, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or ArgoCD.
• Deep understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as Google Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
• Expertise in incident response, troubleshooting, and system performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (DNS, Load Balancing, VPC, Firewalls, Cloud Armor).
• Experience implementing security best practices in a cloud environment.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Firestore, MongoDB).
• Ability to work in a highly available, distributed, and scalable environment.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have:
• Google Cloud Professional SRE or DevOps Engineer Certification.
• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures.
• Familiarity with Service Mesh (Istio, Linkerd, or Consul).
• Experience with serverless architectures on GCP.
• Knowledge of machine learning infrastructure on GCP.
