Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic In-Person Tutor to join our team in Edmonton. This role focuses on supporting students in Grades 7-9 across core subjects (Math, Science, English, and Social Studies). The ideal candidate is passionate about education, patient, and able to connect with students in meaningful ways.
Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring to students in Grades 7-9.
Break down concepts into approachable steps to support understanding and confidence.
Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs and goals.
Communicate effectively with students, families, and Tutor Teach staff.
Create a positive, supportive learning environment that motivates students.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing or completed a post-secondary degree (Education, Sciences, English, Math, or related field an asset).
Previous tutoring, teaching, or mentoring experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of Alberta curriculum (Grades 7-9).
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Reliable transportation to tutoring sessions within Edmonton.
